Charming Paris one bedroom apartment conveniently located in a lively and interesting neighborhood, just off Place Voltaire (the attractively landscaped square of the town square of the 11th Arrondissement). The 'Mairie' square offers a variety of especially nice commerce, food shops (some are open on sunday), cafes and bistros. It is an easy 8 minute stroll to Bastille and the central metro line, and Place Voltaire itself is served by the metro line 9 and 3 different bus lines. A 'VELIB' bike rental station is right across the street. In this city system, you can pick up a bike at any station and turn it in at another. For shoppers and sightseers, Line 9 is direct to Grands Magasins (Galeries Lafayette, etc) from the apartment door to the store door is just 13min, to the Opera Garnier, to the Palais de Tokyo and the Eiffel Tower. Pere Lachaise Cemetery is a 10m walk in the opposite direction,and on the way is a beautiful park surrounded by cafes. It is an attractive neighborhood because it is very alive with Paris life, not touristy, yet you are 8 minutes stroll from Bastille (and Opera Bastille), 15min stroll to Place des Vosges, 8min walk to the green strip which is the southern continuation of Canal St. Martin and also the huge Bastille market on Sundays. Of course, you can take the metro or bus also. The bedroom features an excellent tempur-pedic mattress. The apartment has been completely renovated, with new beds and matresses, new furniture and equipment. The living room and the dining room can be separated by a curtain, and it becomes a two-bedroom apartement. You have ample room to store your personal items. The building is quiet and secure, with two interphones before entrance. The owners speak fluent English, fontish and Italian and they will be happy to help you in anything you may need.
