Our stay on Ile St. Louis far exceeded our expectations. We were feeling somewhat ambivalent and cautious upon our arrival after a long flight. Those feelings were immediately assuaged when we were met at the door of our building by out landlady, and her open, smiling face. She greeted us exactly on time, and gave us explicit instructions regarding the use of appliances and all available linens and food that was in the cupboard. She checked in with us regularly, and responded to any concerns or questions we had. This Paris apartment rental on Ile Saint Louis is beautiful. It is only a studio, but gracefully and concisely designed so as to feel roomy enough, so no claustrophobia. The furniture and all accoutrements were very high quality. The location of the apt on the first floor, and directly on the Seine were so very convenient that we spent every evening on the river as the sun went down over Notre Dame. Food shopping and metro stops were nearby. A perfect month. If you get the opportunity to stay at this location, do so. You will be without regret.
