In 2011 I rented the same Paris accommodation and all was excellent, all appliances functionned and all lights too. - My friend and our 20 year old daughters stayed in the apartment for 6 nights. It was very comfortable and plenty of space in a great neighborhood close to 2 Metro stations - lots of shops, restaurants, patisseries and boulangeries. Some might find the bath/shower/sink that are open to the master bedroom a bit annoying but you just have to work out who is showering when and it all works out. The shower ceiling is low so if you're taller than 5 ft 8 in, that might be a little uncomfortable. - This is the secon time I havetsyed in this apartment. This time for 5 weeks. The apartment is a greet size and the location could not be better!!! The manager and owner are very accommodating. There was some unfortunate construction underneath the apartment both times but the work is finished now. The open living/dining/area is quite spacious and very comfortable. - We LOVED the apartment. It has character and charm, and the location is the best. The flat in paris is in an ancient building and as such, has a couple of quirks like not being able to stand in the bathtub to take a shower because of the low ceiling.
