The Marais is one of our favorite areas to stay in Paris. We really enjoyed living in the apt. and getting to know the shops and neighbourhood. The nearness to the Metro was an excellent feature of this building. We were able to use the Metro to go everywhere without hassle.

The owner is very welcoming and accommodating and speaks English very well. The apartment was immaculate and everything worked perfectly. If you don't mind the fifth floor without elevator it is well worth the climb. This apartment is perfect for someone who is in Paris to work because the desk area is large and well placed. The little balcony has an amazing view and the neighbours are very quiet. It is very close to Bastille and 3 Metro lines, several grocery stores including a natural food store, and the Post Office around the corner has the friendliest postal worker you are likely to meet in Paris. The ceilings are actually a little higher than they look in the pictures as I think they were shot by a taller person but I am 5 foot 4 inches (162 cm) and it was perfect for me.

Elenore was amazing as host and was very helpful in getting me, my wife and child settled in the flat. The flat is small, but we're from NYC and we're used to tight spaces. However, the flat is exceptionally designed, well-layed out and perfectly sized for a week in Paris. There are many storage spaces and a nice flow to the apartment that make it seem bigger than it is. The location could not be better to walk in any direction to any Paris site. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend Paristay and the flat to anyone. (Jeff M. Brooklyn, NY USA)

We loved staying at "hotel de ville" apartment. What a gracious host! We had a wonderful time in Paris, and it was partly due to the fact that we did not stay at a hotel. My comment about quietness: it was quiet enough when the windows were closed, but to get fresh air at night we had to open the windows, and then we could hear the city noises early morning.
